We measure success not against other students, but against each child's own potential, established through Quest standardised cognitive assessments. Our ambition is simple: every student meets the expected standard (Green), most go beyond it (Sky Blue), and some will astonish everyone — including themselves (Space Blue). The Cambridge Pathway — A Clear Path from Age 3 to 19

TOWIS delivers the Cambridge Pathway — one of the most respected and widely recognised educational frameworks in the world. The Cambridge Pathway provides five stages of education, leading seamlessly from Early Years through Primary, Lower Secondary, Upper Secondary, and on to Advanced level (A Levels / IB). Each stage builds directly on the previous one, deepening knowledge, understanding, and skill in a coherent, progressive sequence that prepares learners not just for examinations, but for university, career, and life.

At TOWIS, we currently offer Cambridge Early Years, Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary, and Cambridge Upper Secondary (IGCSE). Our students therefore follow a coherent, unbroken Cambridge pathway from age 3 through to IGCSE at age 16. Every stage prepares students specifically for the next — so a child joining TOWIS at three years old, progressing through every phase, arrives at their Cambridge IGCSE examinations with thirteen years of progressively deepening knowledge, skill, and understanding behind them.

Cambridge Upper Secondary — IGCSE

Years 10–11 · Ages 14–16 · Cambridge IGCSE · Centre BU001 Yangon

Upper Secondary is the culmination of thirteen years of learning. The Cambridge IGCSE is one of the most internationally respected qualifications in the world, and TOWIS students sit their examinations as registered candidates at Cambridge Centre BU001 Yangon. The IGCSE programme runs across 18 months in total — 10 months in Year 10 and 8 months in Year 11 — building systematically through teaching, deepening, revision, and external examination.

But the examinations are not the point. The point is that every student leaves TOWIS with the knowledge, skills, and character to thrive in whatever comes next — A Levels, IB Diploma, vocational qualifications, or university. A student who achieves a C grade because they genuinely understand their subject, can think flexibly under pressure, and can explain their reasoning clearly has been educated. That is the TOWIS standard: not the grade, but the person behind it.

Your child's homeroom teacher is their pastoral lead throughout the IGCSE years. The examination period is one of the most pressured periods in a young person's life, and the homeroom teacher monitors wellbeing closely, keeps parents informed of progress and any concerns, and ensures that every student is supported — academically and personally — through to the finish line. We ask parents to maintain regular contact during this period. Your involvement makes a measurable difference to outcomes.

Key Milestones & Expectations — Upper Secondary Phase

1. Year 10 (Q1–Q4): 10 months of IGCSE content — foundation and development across all subjects
2. Year 11 Q1–Q2: Teaching and deepening — remaining IGCSE content completed across all subjects
3. Year 11 Q3: Intensive revision and mock examinations — individual feedback and revision plans for every student
4. Year 11 Q4: Cambridge external examinations — all papers sat as registered candidates at Centre BU001
5. Every student has a personal IGCSE target band based on Quest cognitive baseline — Green is the minimum expectation
6. Quarterly assessments and mock examinations track readiness; intervention is immediate when a student falls below target
7. Structured wellbeing support and physical activity maintained throughout the examination period
8. Post-IGCSE pathway guidance provided: A Levels, IB Diploma, vocational routes, university entrance
