Welcome to The One World International School Yangon.
It is a privilege to lead a school with such a clear purpose: to give every child in our community access to a genuinely world-class education. For us, this means preparing students not only to succeed in examinations, but also to step confidently into the world beyond school.
TOWIS is a Cambridge International School, following the Cambridge pathway from Early Years through to IGCSE. We take that responsibility seriously. Our approach is built on rigorous teaching, honest assessment, high expectations, and a school culture rooted in respect, responsibility, kindness, and ambition.
What makes TOWIS distinctive is our ACE Approach: Academic Excellence, Character Development, and Engagement. These are not separate parts of school life. They belong together. A student who achieves academically, but lacks character and engagement, is not fully prepared for life. Equally, a student who is kind, confident, and involved, but not challenged academically, is not reaching their full potential. At TOWIS, we work hard to develop all three, every day.
We are proud to be a small school. This means we know our students well. We know their strengths, their interests, and the areas where they need support. We work closely with parents and believe in communicating early, whether there is a concern to address or a success to celebrate. We believe it takes a village to raise a child, and we see school and home as partners in that journey.

Founder’s Welcome
The One World International School was founded in 2023 with a simple but powerful belief: that the children of Myanmar deserve the same quality of education available to students in the world’s leading international schools.
I founded TOWIS because I saw families in Yangon searching for something they could not easily find — a school that combined the rigour of a British Cambridge education with the warmth, values, and cultural identity of our community. A school where every child is known, challenged, and genuinely cared for.
Since opening, we have achieved Cambridge International accreditation, built a dedicated and qualified teaching team, and created a school community that families are proud to be part of. We are at the beginning of our journey — but the foundations are strong.
I am grateful to every family who has trusted us with the education of their child. That trust is the greatest responsibility I carry, and it drives every decision we make at TOWIS.
